There must be something in the California air. Recently, an abundance of West Coast bloggers have emerged–and have redefined California style. Aimee Song, whose style is a mix of all things pretty, grunge and flawlessly sophisticated. Her blog? Song of Style. It’s hard not to fall in love with her, and even harder not to lust over each garment she so eloquently wears.
Tell us a little bit about yourself (name, age, profession).
Aimee Song, 24, interior architecture student and intern at an architecture firm.
How would you describe your personal style? Any fashion icons or inspirations?
I don't have a specific style but it's more of a mix and match. I love Chloe Sevigny's style as she makes everything into her own style.
When did you start getting interested in fashion, and how did you cross over into blogging?
I was always interested in fashion but blogging definitely got me more interested in fashion. I started blogging about 2 years ago mainly to blog about architecture and interior design inspirations, but taking outfit pictures was easier than crediting back to the original source of photos so I turned the blog into a personal style blog.
What's the best thing that's happened to you as a result of blogging? How about the strangest or weirdest thing?
One of the best things that's happened was being shot for Fossil's Holiday lookbook and going to Fashion week. The strangest and weirdest would be all the freaky emails I get from guys.
